Lincoln sticking with free maintenance
After a few months of promotion on 2010 models, Lincoln has decided to offer its "Complimentary Maintenance Program" to all new customers for the 2011 model year. The program is designed to enhance the four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper manufacturer's warranty and is fully transferable to a second owner. The maintenance program will include coverage for oil and filter changes, tire rotations and multipoint inspections for up to eight service visits.
Besides the maintenance program, Lincoln is also looking to institute a new offering of "owner privileges," such as providing the same Lincoln model loaner vehicle for Lincoln warranty work, better roadside service and a dedicated team of Lincoln customer service people. However, Lincoln is also insisting on new services from dealers. At a recent Lincoln make meeting, they stated that they expect dealerships to wash and detail every Lincoln vehicle at every service visit.
